The Brisbane Festival returns this year with an incredible lineup from 9 to 30 September.

One of Australia’s leading international arts festivals, the event will treat festival goers to local and international leading talents. Megan Washington is partnering with Queensland Symphony Orchestra in concert. Rock legends Tex Perkins, Don Walker, and Charlie Owens will also be bringing their talents to the festival.

A mini festival at Riverstage will welcome a performance by London Grammar from The United Kingdom.

Fortitude Valley’s The Tivoli is turning 100 this year and, to celebrate, it has been added to the list of the festival’s host venues. Performances at the The Tivoli will include Australian industry legends Regurtitator and Angus and Julia Stone.

This year’s festival will also see the return of Treasury Brisbane Arcadia to Southbank Cultural Forecourt. This area will be home to The Courier Mail Magic Spiegeltent, as well as daily free performances at Little Creatures Live.

Queensland University of Technology’s Kelvin Grove campus will also host Theatre Republic, one of the festival’s many stages.

While it does dominate the entertainment program, music is not all that is on offer as part of the Brisbane Festival.

Theatre performances will include the Lyric Hammersmith’s performance of Ferdinand von Shirach’s Terror, Per Te’s Australian premier of its new circus and physical theatre work, and much more. In addition to theatrical performances, the program will include cabaret, dance, circus, visual art, film, and family entertainment.

As per tradition, the event will culminate with the Sunsuper Riverfire event, Australia’s longest fireworks show.
