The not-for-profit organisation lends a helping hand to individuals suffering through chronic crisis with the help of donations, food and coffee.
The café uses the profits from every cup to provide comprehensive support for people facing drug addiction, homelessness, criminal behaviour and poverty. They also assist people in acute crisis situations, offering food hampers or other critical interventions to inoculate them from descending into homelessness.
The Cup from Above team train people with disabilities and other significant impairments to help them find employment. They hope this will cause a ripple effect of help, encouraging these new and improved individuals to pass on their lessons.
Those struggling with barriers to employment can participate in complementary coffee training to prepare for a career as a professional barista.
The cafe pours equal dedication into its coffee as it does into its community programs.
Cup from Above prides itself on the quality of coffee from crop to cup, utilising a variety of blends.
Last year, it ranked number seven in Australia on Beanhunter. Snuggled among art-lined walls, Cup from Above offers a variety of food, including peanut butter croissants.
