Curious Affection At Goma
Contemporary Australian artist Patricia Piccinini is showcasing Curious Affection, a range of immersive artworks, at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). In the major solo exhibition, the artist explores the social and moral impact of technology on the planet through a series of fantastical creatures and environments. The artist has also created Children’s Art Centre; a project encouraging under eights to explore burrow-like spaces and to interact with the soft and tactile forms within. An Up Late program in conjunction with Curious Affection will be presented across five Friday evenings from 8 June to 6 July. This will include live music by local and international acts, bars and floor talks.
