Noel McKenna: Landscape – Mapped

Free EntryAfter fifteen years, Noel McKenna is presenting his project “Landscape – Mapped” in full at the Queensland Art Gallery. The series consists of large map paintings that demonstrate a new approach to ordering the contents of Australia along with peculiar themes such as public swimming pools, dangerous animals, and butterflies. The exhibition was a wonderful sense of wit as it overlooks the redundancy of physical maps in our era of GPS and Google Earth.
