QAGOMA Creative Generation

The ‘Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art‘ is an initiative of the Department of Education, supported by the QAGOMA. The event showcases the artworks of 31 Queensland senior secondary art students from regional and metropolitan schools.
In 2018, ‘Creative Generation’ includes photography, painting, mixed media, sculpture, video and installation works by young Queensland artists who have been exploring contemporary ideas and art-making processes during the 2017 academic year. Through windows into worlds both familiar and unknown, these students’ works present viewers with moments that range from deep introspection to whimsical play.
