Fashion designer Kristy McPhillips is celebrating the working woman with the release of her label Sash & Belle‘s new range of functional but fashionable, work-appropriate handbags

The 100 per cent genuine cowhide leather collection delivers on versatility, storage and style for busy women in the workplace, transitioning from day to night.

The work bag collection has a distinctive large size, holding daily essentials with ease, leaving a little extra room, for extra documents or a laptop.

The handbags are designed for women at all career levels and for all tastes, from impressing at a job interview, to developing personal style. The label also offers a range of stylish nappy bags and everyday bags.

Mother of two Kristy was inspired to redefine the woman’s work bag by Sophia Amoruso’s #GIRLBOSS movement and lack of versatile options on the market.

“I have worked in the corporate arena for over 16 years and I found myself facing two dilemmas after I had my babies and had to transition from corporate world to baby world, and the baby world back to the corporate world, twice,” said Kristy.

“I struggled to find the perfect nappy bag, and similarly, struggled to find that perfect business bag that was stylish, yet versatile, and didn’t make me feel like I was hogging around a suitcase to work everyday. So I decided to create my own solution.”

Kristy is adamant that the interiors are the defining factor of her bags, giving functionality and space, which most fashion bags lack.

Sash & Belle has been accommodating all needs and walks of life since 2014, providing quality leather and vegan alternatives.
