House Conspiracy, a contemporary arts and community space for residencies, events, and private use, launched on Friday, 3 February. The ‘gallery’ focuses on empowering artists to create a more diverse and vibrant Brisbane, offering free working space bookings for emerging and independent artists and free event hire for non-ticketed events. The launch saw cheap beer and wine on sale as part of House Conspiracy’s fundraising efforts, plus live performances by Requin, HHAARRPP, and OJ Mengel. Throughout the house were live, installation and participatory artworks by James Day, Curated Residents Liam Herne and Rhiannon Dionysius, David Oberg, Aron Oroszvari, Jonathan O’Brien, Cinnamon Smith, Witte Art, and Mosessa.
