Applications are now open for the 2020 Share Your Story Author Business Mentor program. This is available internationally and designed to help authors, both established and aspiring, of all genres, to make a living doing what they love.

Launched by Share Your Story, the program uses experience drawn from industry to ensure aspiring and established authors wanting to turn their hobby into a business get the advice and support needed to improve their profit, productivity and to seek growth opportunities. Practical support for authors includes advice from people with relevant private sector experience, custom entrepreneurial processes and services, online support to take advantage of growth opportunities and connective collaboration opportunities.

“Making a profit is not about simply selling a book. Finding a way to share your story by speaking from your own experience and adopting a ‘Give Back’ mindset will make permanent and progressive change in not only your own life, but the lives of others,” Michelle Worthington, founder of Share Your Story said.

Michelle Worthington is an award winning author of empowering picture books for children that celebrate diversity. She is also a source of talent in different topics of the publishing industry, including trends in children books, corporate storytelling, creative business basics, and more.

In the program, Michelle’s goal is to help aspiring authors to have their works published by working together towards individual goals around income streams, passive income, and time management through regular meet up sessions. Scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants as part of the submission process.
