The Supanova Comic Con & Gaming event will return to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) for another year of pop culture fandom from 10 November to 12 November.

Packed with a star-studded lineup, geeks, gamers, cosplayers and fans will have the chance to meet an impressive roster of celebrities behind beloved fictional characters.

Star Wars fans can meet animatronics puppeteer Brian Herring (Jim Henson’s Creature Shop), who brought to life one of the franchise’s most popular characters: Droid BB-8 from Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

Finn Jones will come straight from Marvel’s The Defenders, where he will be reprising the title character from the Marvel series, Iron Fist. Finn is also well known for his role as Ser Loras Tyrell from Game of Thrones.

Supergirl’s Superman, Tyler Hoechlin, will also be attendance. The Teen Wolf heartthrob will appear on the big screen in 2018, playing Boyce Fox in the next instalment of the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.

Tyler’s Teen Wolf co-star Daniel Sharman will also make a Supanova appearance. Daniel currently stars in The Walking Dead spinoff series, Fear The Walking Dead, and previously starred in the series The Originals and the film Immortals.

Fans of the television adaption of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander novels can encounter actor Graham McTavish. The Scotsman is well known for playing the dwarf Dwalin in The Hobbit Trilogy and currently stars as The Saint of Killers in the series Preacher.

Twenty years on and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom is still strong. In attendance will be James Marsters, who played the punk-Goth vampire Spike, and his co-star Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander Harris. Marsters can soon be seen in the new Marvel series Runaways as Victor Stein.

Video gamers and cartoon fanatics will get their fill of celebrity interactions, too. Will Friedle (Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Boy Meets World), Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach, Code Geass), Travis Willingham (Avengers Assemble, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) and Laura Bailey (Avengers Assemble, Dragon Ball Z) sharing their insights into the world of voice acting.

Lastly, internationally renowned costuming powerhouse Kamui Cosplay, otherwise known as Svetlana Quindt, is travelling from Europe to meet fans and share her knowledge of all things costuming, makeup, styling wigs and making props.

John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) will continue to represent Supanova as their Supa-Star Ambassador.

Attendees will have the chance to enjoy cosplay, fan clubs, musical performances, creative master classes, celebrity Q&As, wrestling, tournaments and competitions, and an expo full of shopping possibilities.
