A fabulous COVID safe small but select group of local community members met at Avid Reader last Thursday to hear about the innovative new concept Chrysalis developed by local West Enders Bec Mac (POPSART) and Carmel Haugh. Chrysalis is a transformational project led by artists. It is a place-based program of partnership activities to stimulate the local economy and foster philanthropy by creating a shared value of art in place. The goal is to ensure the 4101 community emerges from the economic downturn with a revitalised sense of place, stronger community and resilient creative sector by employing the creative workforce = 10 creative outcomes, energising the retail experience = 10 small business activations, and crafting new connections = enriching creative experiences and collaborations. Wwatch this space for the announcement of the exciting first project and how you can get involved.
