Living Dead Clothing is a local Brisbane fashion label and they’re taking Australia and the world by storm!
Designer and creator, Wade Lange started the label in his single Wynnum garage just over two years ago by making clothing for his girlfriend. Since then, his label has expanded to a staff of fifteen and is now selling clothing locally as well as internationally online and from their factory located at Tingalpa.
The creations are printed onto high quality Italian Lycra using a sublimation printing and heat pressing processes , and are then cut and sewn into the final product.
The idea behind Living Dead Clothing is simple, to make clothes for women and men of all shapes and sizes. Lange said, “we make clothes for everybody and by that I mean every body – from extra-small to extra-large, and we don’t use Photoshop to retouch any of our photos”. After wearing a few pieces myself, I noticed how amazing the Lycra felt against my skin.
The label recently scored an exclusive licence deal (stretch-wear) with Marvel and will be releasing a range of Spiderman themed pieces this Tuesday 10th February. I was lucky enough to try a few of the brand new Spiderman dresses on and absolutely loved them!
Fans of Living Dead Clothing are extremely dedicated to the brand and have created a community fondly known as ‘The Deadites’. It’s a fan club set up and run purely by fans. With over 100,000 followers on Facebook and 51,000 on Instagram, Lange said, “the fans really are the glue of the company”.
We can expect big things from Living Dead Clothing in the near future, including a dedicated line for men within the next six months and the possibility of more exclusive licences as well as plenty of original designs too.
So if you’re into cosplay, geek-fashion or perhaps you just like to wear incredible clothes that are both comfortable and create a fashion statement – check out Living Dead Clothing.
