Elisa Jane Carmichael’s exhibition Connecting Waves: A Saltwater Woman Living on Desert Country opened at Onespace Gallery on Friday, 7 July. Carmichael is a Nguhi woman from Quandamooka country (Moreton Island/North Stradbroke Island) and currently Gilimbaa’s Arist in Residence in Alice Springs. Inspired by her life in these two places, the exhibition, part of the 2017 Quandamooka Festival, combines materials from both.
This exhibition will run until Saturday, 5 August.
