Audiences can join New Zealand artist Areta Wilkinson as she explains the techniques, tools and materials she uses to create her sculptural jewellery as featured in The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial Of Contemporary Art (APT9). Wilkinson’s practice represents an ongoing investigation into the history of M?ori wearable taonga. Inspired by the creative space between the systematic archaeology practiced by museums and her research into the customary tools, materials and objects, Areta combines these knowledge systems to create beautiful body adornment.
