Nigel Marsh‘s Seashells and Other Molluscs of Australia is the latest addition to Australia’s Green Guides. Green Guides were created with wildlife enthusiasts of all ages in mind. They provide an insight into the behavioural traits of insects, both common and unusual.

Author Nigel has experienced diving in locations throughout Australia since 1980. At age 15, he purchased his first underwater camera. His love for underwater photography grew further when he learned to scuba dive three years later.

Nigel and his wife Helen Rose are freelance Australian underwater photographers and photojournalists based in Brisbane.

The couple regularly produce diving, travel and marine life related articles for the dive magazines Divelog, Dive Pacific, Diver, EZDive and Niugini Blue, plus articles for many in-flight magazines and blogs for Diveplanit.

Nigel has also photographed and authored numerous books on marine life and dive guides including: Underwater Australia, Muck Diving, Coral Wonderland, Diving with Sharks and most recently Sea Shells & Marine Molluscs of Australia.

He has authored and co-authored a number of books on diving and marine related subjects over the past 20 years.

Marsh’s photographies transport the viewer to underwater worlds otherwise inaccessible to the general public.

Recently he has also been working closely with New Holland Publishers to produce a series of guide books for divers and a range of children’s books with marine related themes. This series of books are available in most book shops in Australia, Great Britain and New Zealand.

A guide for specialist and amateurs of the ocean, Nigel’s guide is a wonderful introduction to mollusc families and species found around Australia.
