After the successful release of her book, #GIRLCODE, etiquette expert Michaela Launerts has released #GUYCODE.

The book draws upon the expertise of millennial’s to discuss the social media generation and their lack of essential social skills for the real world. #GUYCODE helps to develop confidence people need to become the best version of themselves, enabling the reader to interact with others like themselves without feeling nervous or awkward.

The author discusses the social media phenomenon which has led to a rapid decline in people’s social skills in turn making it difficult for millennials to gain employment.

“We live in a time where face to face contact has been replaced with cyberspace presence and connecting with friends means disconnecting from reality,” says Michaela.

Michaela has had extensive experience in Secondary Education and the Cosmetics Industry, with her time within both fields leading her to identify the motivation to succeed in school-leavers, and a strong set of social skills.

In her book, Launert sections topics such as manners, using tables and quotes to emphasise the importance of appropriate social conduct.

Michaela describes how to behave in seemingly simple social situations such as, The Do’s and Dont’s of a Handshake.

Other topics include; first impressions, interviewing, dining, relationships, social media, parties and formal occasions. The book also addresses transitioning into adulthood, antisocial behaviour and being a gentleman.

Michaela uses an interactive educational approach to promote an environment that is constructive to enhance confidence in young people.
