International lawyer Philippe Sands captivated audiences at State Library Queensland when he discussed his new book on Tuesday August 30. East West Street: On the Origins of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity explores origins of international law that begins and ends with the last day of the Nuremberg trials. Along with Sands’ appearance, the Integrity 20 Program was launched, where philosophers, ethicists, activists, journalists, artists, and academics come together to discuss matters of global importance. This year’s theme is Age of Insecurities. Integrity 20 will held at the Queensland Conservatorium between October 24 and 26.
