Welcome To Wrigleton is a mockumentary television series about a small Australian town on the brink of bankruptcy, created by Griffith University Film School graduates 13th Street Films.

The town of Wrigleton is led by the hapless, yet endearing Mayor Clinton Wrigleton (Michael Cuckson). The comedy features a large cast of diverse, and multicultural Australians, exploring narratives of a wide demographic, from children to the elderly. These story lines are explored in a fun and engaging way, brimming with distinctively Australian humour. Taking inspiration from classics, such as The Castle, and Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures, it delves into themes of identity, globalisation, and traditional vs modern values, all wrapped up into a roller coaster joyride – each episode traversing new heights of hilarity, as Mayor Clint Wrigleton attempts to save his town.

13th Street Films is an award-winning independent production company based in Brisbane. The collective is a group of emerging creatives who are recent graduates from Griffith University Film School and features a large ensemble cast of local talent. Series creators Sian Laycock and Joel Stephen Fleming are fans of Australian comedy and when writing the series, they set themselves the goal of creating the next great Australian comedy.

The community is invited to support the project, with the filmmakers aiming to raise $10,000 to produce an industry level television pilot, and view a scene from the pilot episode online.
