ABC Radio Brisbane has announced that as of Monday 21 January, its audiences will wake to a new morning line up. Craig Zonca and Loretta Ryan team up for a fresh and earlier start in Breakfast, presenting weekdays from 5am. Craig loves a yarn and has spent over a decade behind a microphone sharing the many stories around Queensland, and more recently Brisbane. Loretta brings a wealth of experience to ABC Radio Brisbane, having worked in the media industry for more than 30 years.

Acting Director, Regional & Local, Judith Whelan said, “Brisbane is a lifestyle city and there’s a greater demand for local news, weather and traffic information earlier in the day. It means we can be part of the news and conversations happening right across our city.”

Rebecca Levingston will move to Mornings (8.30am to 11am) presenting a mix of topical talk, local issues and compelling local stories. Conversations is back with presenters Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski, broadcast nationally from 11.00 am to midday weekdays. Hamish Macdonald will present while Richard Fidler is away January to March.

2019 will see the return of Myf Warhurst’s arts, music and culture program (12.30pm to 2pm), Afternoons with Katherine Feeney (2pm to 4pm) and Drive with Steve Austin (4pm to 6.30pm). Kelly Higgins-Devine rounds out the day with Evenings from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Emma Griffiths makes the move to Weekends.

Judith continued, “In 2019, ABC Radio Brisbane will continue to be the place for great local stories and community connection. We’re really excited about the talent and content mix on offer.”
