The latest creative startup to hit our cultural mecca is Photography in Brisbane, a curated platform and education hub for photographers in the local community, founded by Sabrina Ravail.

Photography in Brisbane unites a community of photographers with a passion for capturing life’s precious moments.

With storytelling such a fundamental aspect of our social lives, Sabrina sought to discover, explore and share the stories being told in the local community.

Sabrina even takes the community offline, organising workshops, photography walks and meetups each month at South Bank’s Edge.

The workshops are run by professional tutors, and kept to minimum numbers, to ensure all individuals leave with tools, tips and tricks to use on their next solo photography adventure.

Sabrina believes that providing individual communities with tools to share their stories, builds an active, more inclusive Brisbane.

She also manages a popular Instagram page featuring beautiful sunsets of South East Queensland, originally created as a personal handbook of pretty places in her neighbourhood.

In April 2018, the Photography in Brisbane community will be able to submit their shots to a jury, for the chance to be showcased at an exhibition at the Richard Randall Art Studio. The exhibition will run from the 26 to 29 April 2018.
