The award-winning luxury boutique Emporium Hotel in South Bank has unveiled its new rooftop bar and dining venue, The Terrace, opening on Wednesday 3 October. One of the only publicly available rooftop bars in South Bank, The Terrace offers unparalleled panoramic views across the Brisbane River to the city skyline and beyond. Located on the 21st floor, it features an array of unique, custom-designed features that create a visually captivating, subtropical aesthetic.

Many design features contribute to the creation of The Terrace’s unique and signature atmosphere, including the light colour palette, multiple “green walls”, white onyx floor tiles and the 13-metre long white onyx bar with custom light mapping. And, of course, the abundant fresh air and cooling breezes inherent to the location. But the venue isn’t complete without its awe-inspiring luscious landscaping, including a variety of mature botanicals which had to be craned into the building.

To make the most out of Brisbane’s sensational weather, The Terrace features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that open out onto an expansive balcony for patrons to enjoy the view to the fullest. And two retractable roofs offer full, partial or no exposure to the elements, all remotely controlled. An extensive drinks menu provides something for all tastes, from classic and signature cocktails to a wide variety of premium local and international wines and spirits. And for those looking for something more substantial, executive chef Chris Norman has created an all-day dining menu – whether it is a wholesome breakfast, dinner party or a light midnight snack.

The Terrace offers something unique to the South Bank – breathtaking views in a tropical atmosphere, 70 metres in the air, at the regions only publicly available rooftop bar.
