Brisbane rolled out the red carpet for the opening night of the ‘splash-hit’ musical Singin’ In The Rain at the Lyric Theatre QPAC on Friday September 23.  Joining actors Rohan Browne, Grant Almirall and Jack Chambers on the red carpet were leading ladies Gretel Scarlett and  Erika Heynatz. Afterwards, the musical’s stellar cast mingled with Brisbane audience members at South Bank Parklands Cultural Precinct to celebrate the Queensland premiere. Based on the iconic 1952 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) film, the spectacular new stage production has already received praise from critics and audiences alike. Delighting Brisbane audiences for the first time with high-energy performances and a superb score, Singin’ In The Rain packed all the charm, romance, comedy and tinsel-town glamour of the much-loved movie. Singin’ In The Rain will run until 30 October 2016 at the Lyric Theatre QPAC, in a strictly limited season. Tickets at qpac.com.au or phone 136 246.
