Melbourne-based artist Jacqui Shelton opened her latest exhibition Something Like Dancing at Metro Arts on Thursday 9 August. Jacqui’s latest collection explores familiarity, gesture and the concept of embodied communication through an intimate fusion of performance, film and audio. Delving into intimate encounters, the spaces between and hiding behind them, Jacqui’s exhibition puts emphasis on the unspoken exchanges: the rules, anomalies, proximities and movement that make up our everyday interactions.
