It is going to be a weekend of women power at this weekend’s Startup Weekend Women event, as part of the Global Women Startup Weekend movement.
The event is part of a global community who will execute simultaneous events all around the world in 18 countries.
Brisbane’s event is predicted to attract a crowd of like minded women who are in business, or hoping to open their own business.
There is expected to be a diverse audience, including intrapreneurs from the corporate landscape to social media influencers and mum-preneurs who are dabbling with online businesses and want to learn to scale up.
There will even be tech savvy women with mean coding skills, marketers, sales guns, frustrated employees looking for a new challenge and everyone in between.
All are invited to attend, with River City Labs encouraging participants of all backgrounds and differing levels of ability to take part to better their experience.
Over the three days, attendees will pitch their ideas, and the best ideas are voted on. Team will be formed to begin the working process to bring the idea to market. On the final evening, each team will present to a panel of judges, and the winning idea is announced.
This competition ends 12pm Wednesday 7 February.
