West End’s newest parkside retail and dining precinct has opened in West Village, with The Garden Pantry opening its doors on Boundary Street on Friday 19 October. Adding more flavour to West End’s vibrant dining scene, West Village’s latest opening faces new parkland The Common.

The Garden Pantry is a contemporary food retail precinct overlooking The Common and the historic 1928 Peters Ice Cream Factory that will feature three of Brisbane’s best dining experiences.
Salt Meats Cheese Cooking School will also find itself a Queensland home in West Village, with the renowned culinary school opening in the newly completed Factory Lane later this year. The precinct will continue to thrive as a lifestyle destination with the opening of the Bromley Room #2, featuring more of the fabulous sculptures, homewares and paintings that made the first Bromley Room so popular with visitors. West Village Project Director Andrew Thompson says the precinct is rooted in history. “Drawing on the food origins of the historic Peters Ice Cream Factory, West Village will establish itself as a food and lifestyle destination, which aims to celebrate the culture and diversity that is West End,” said Andrew.

Embracing casual, quality dining with an emphasis on paddock to plate philosophy, The Garden Pantry is one place West Enders will want to plant themselves. From tropical-inspired indoor dining and al fresco spaces to grab-and-go options perfect for enjoying in The Common – there’s a space for everyone, and a cuisine for every taste. The best things come in threes, which is why this dining destination will headline three of Brisbane’s most exceptional restaurants: Cheeky Poké Bar, Mr Bunz, and the popular Salt Meats Cheese.

Bringing cheesy pasta fervour to the heart of West End will be Salt Meats Cheese, warming up mornings with freshly roasted coffee and Italian inspired breakfast bites, before switching gears to pizza and street food later in the day. By night, expect SMC’s signature cheese wheel pasta, all you can eat pizza and Sunday porchetta roasts. For wholesome food of a different kind, cross the Pacific to immerse yourself in Hawaiian-inspired eatery Cheeky Poké Bar, serving up poké bowls and unique seafood tacos. Rounding out the trio is groovy Asian restaurant Mr Bunz, perfectly infusing the fun and flavour of the East with four signature bao buns and South East Asian inspired meals for lunch and dinner. “With delicious bites at The Garden Pantry, West Village will be a space for the community to dine, relax and enjoy the best of Brisbane,” said Andrew.

Salts Meats Cheese is open daily from 9am to 9:30pm with Cheeky Poké Bar and Mr Bunz open from 10am to 9:00pm daily.
