The Royal Ballet’s Woolf Works opened at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) on Friday, 30 June. Part of QPAC’s International Series, this was the first time the ballet has been seen outside of London’s Covent Garden, home of The Royal Ballet, and its official Australian debut. Woolf Works is inspired by three of Virginia Woolf’s novels — Mrs Dalloway, Orlando and The Waves — as well as a selection of her autobiographical writings. The ballet will be followed by The Winter’s Tale from Wednesday, 5 July to Sunday, 9 July.
